In a very small number of cases we may us bone marrow or adipose (fat) tissue,. based on the patient’s condition and treatment goals, ensuring the highest quality and effectiveness.
While using a patient’s own cells from fat or bone marrow is an option, it may not always be the most effective choice for certain conditions. Harvesting cells from fat or bone marrow can be invasive and may result in lower cell yields or viability. Our clinic prioritizes using optimized donor-derived Umbilical Cord cells from our state-of-the-art cell bank, which are specifically processed for regenerative therapies. This ensures that patients receive the highest quality stem cells, maximizing the potential for successful outcomes.
Rejection is a common patient question however neither blood type or tissue type matching is needed ( or beneficial).
MSC Stem Cells from Umbilical Cord are highly immunogenically privileged plus the antigen receptors are modified during the lab preparation process. Together this means that patients can safely receive donor cells without their immune system having problems. In very rare instances the immune system can get a bit ‘overwhelmed ‘ and the patient has a minor reaction that is easily managed.
Interestingly the US FDA lost multiple USA lawsuits because doctors were successfully claiming the patient’s own cells were not drugs and therefore not subject to regulation.
